12 - 1 cup shredded red cabbage
13 - 1 cup shredded carrots
14 - 1 ripe avocado, sliced
15 - 2 to 3 scallions, thinly sliced
16 - 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
17 - Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
18 - Lime wedges, for serving

# How-To:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Pat salmon fillets dry. Rub each fillet with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
03 - Place fillets on prepared baking sheet. Roast in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until opaque and flakes easily.
04 - While salmon is roasting, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice in a small bowl. Whisk until smooth.
05 - Evenly divide warm cooked rice among four bowls. Arrange shredded cabbage, carrots, avocado slices, and scallions around the rice.
06 - Place a roasted salmon fillet atop each bowl. Drizzle generously with Bang Bang sauce.
07 - Finish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and fresh cilantro. Serve each bowl with lime wedges on the side.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • Nobody at the table ever guesses how easy it is—the sauce is like a creamy secret weapon.
  • Each bite is a wild play between spicy, tangy, fresh, and comforting, so every topping really counts.
02 -
  • I learned the hard way that crowding the salmon on the baking sheet leads to steaming instead of roasting, so leave some space between the fillets.
  • If you assemble everything before the salmon’s ready, the avocado can brown—slice that last and the bowls look fresher.
03 -
  • Let the salmon rest for a minute after roasting so the juices stay where they belong: in your bite, not on the baking tray.
  • Mix a little extra Bang Bang sauce; someone always wants more.
